I chose ALACE/toLabor because they are based on the midwifery model of care. I also loved the extra hands-on options during the training. I have absolutely no regrets. It was a great experience! :)

Random question! Is there are particular reason why you went with toLABOR to get your doula certification instead of DONA or CAPPA? I'm checking out all of them right now and I'm having trouble deciding.

Wow! I had no idea that had a screw on it! I think it's awesome you're studying to be a doula, Amanda. Many mamas will be blessed by your presence.

Awesome! I had no idea you were training to be a doula! It's so wonderful to know that there are women out there like you helping other women to know the power of birth. You rock!!! :-)

Amanda, I had very intense emotions about that dang screw too! :( I know what you are saying, but I'm also glad I got to see it and touch it before attending a birth, because I'm not sure I could hold my shock to myself if I saw it had a screw on it like that at a birth, without prior knowledge, ya know?

I'm glad I took the course with you! :)
