Great post. I also like "the masses are asses". I wish it was sometimes easier to recognize when I'm an ass. I think in general we do okay but there is certainly room for improvement.

I was just reminded of an article I read today about saving money on babies. They recommended waiting until 6 months to start baby food and then doing intensive price comparisons. When did jar baby food become a necessity? I missed that memo since neither Bohdin nor Nyla have had any.

I completely agree about the breastfeeding comment. When I was pregnant I decided early on that I wanted to breastfeed my child. I did all the research and found that breatfed babies are much healthier and have less problems with breast milk than with formula. Even the medical staff that I started to see on a regular basis said I shouldn't completely rely on my breast milk alone, but I knew different. So stick with your gut!

I love that quote, "the masses are asses". I'll have to remember it.

We have a tv purchased in 1989 by my husband. It is small, doesn't take a remote control and looks old. But it still works! Sometimes we find ourselves dreaming of a tv that is bigger, but why? We rarely watch, only get a few channels. Waste of money. So we sit back and watch all these people replace their fairly new televisions with $2000 flat screens. They laugh when they see our tv. Of course, you should see my husband's 1994 Jeep Cherokee... :-) This is a pattern with us. :-)
