Today has been a locked-in-the-house kind of day, because both of my kids are still within their first 24-hours of taking medicine for pink eye (although their eyes aren’t pink - just goopy), so they’re still contagious. If you’ve never had the pleasure of trying to hog tie your kids while pulling their eyelids open and trying to aim drops, then you haven’t really lived

Joe and I were supposed to work in Matt’s Sunday School class this morning, but we had to call and cancel. I’m a little bummed though because I was looking forward to seeing how things really work in there. I’ve popped my head in, but never been there for a whole class before. Oh well, maybe next cycle.

I have a web project that I really should be working on right now, so I guess I’ll keep this short and sweet and start working on making me some money

I’m going to have to keep it short, but I wanted to get in an entry in before I ran off to bed. I really should be soaking my nose piercing, because I didn’t do it this morning, but I’m feeling all lazy P I think I’ll just wash it instead and soak tomorrow.

I’m feeling super sleepy today, even though I went to bed early yesterday. Maybe if I work out tomorrow, I won’t be so lethargic. Or maybe my iron is low… Who knows? I just watched the “National Body Challenge” show from either last week or the week before (thanks to TiVo, I have no idea when these shows were recorded - I don’t pay attention anymore). Anyways, it was about people who had lost weight and kept it off, and one was this guy who lost 270lbs in a year. Can you imagine?! So he did it on a liquid protein diet made of shakes from fruit and protein powder. I’d love to have something like that for breakfast, because I usually just end up having chocolate milk or yogurt with fruit anyways. I just don’t seem to have (or make) the time to sit down for a morning meal. Unfortunately, I tried making a smoothy with an unflavored protein shake mix and I literally threw up in my own mouth. It was SO disgusting. I can handle the chocolate flavored ones, but the unflavored was so barfy. Maybe I’ll pick up a vanilla flavored one to try instead.

On the show, they also profiled a lady who used to be big and fat and now she is a marathoner and a triathelete. That’s what I want to do, and I was never big and fat, so I really feel like I should get moving on training! I’m still a little hesitant to run alone, because I’m a worry wart. I think I’ll feel better if I run with my pepper spray, but I still just want to be cautious. I need to rent a dog or something, haha. I’m trying to talk Joe into running with me, but so far that’s been a hard sell. I joined a ladies’ running group here in town, but I’m afraid that I’m way too slow and inexperienced for them. They run like 8 minute miles, and I’m more in the 10+ minute range, especially with all of the hills around here. Oh well, I know it’ll work out…

Well, I’m going to head up to bed. Its only 9:30, but my body feels like its midnight! Good night everyone )

So… GCM is still down, and I wish that there was something that I could do to help. Jeri, if you read this, and need a new server to host the site, email me because my husband and I run a hosting company ) If you have the data somewhere, we could probably get you up very quickly!

Today should be a pretty busy day. Matt is here whining because he all of the sudden developed a fear of Oscar the Grouch, but Juli has, during the same amount of time, developed a love for every Sesame Street character. So basically, leaving it on makes Matt cry and turning it off will make Juli cry. Nice.

I wanted to go running today, but it doesn’t look like I’ll have time. I’m watching a friend’s kids this afternoon, from 2:30-4, and I have church from 6-8:30, so I think that I may take the kids out for a walk instead of going running. Boohoo.

I really love my church, but I hate that we have a Wednesday night commitment, because Juli goes to sleep every day at 6:15, and church starts at 6. So, I end up carrying a cranky baby (she won’t go in the nursery anyways, but especially when she’s tired!), and then I miss our class. However, if I don’t even try to go, then I’ll have to retake the membership class. Ugh. I just wish that they offered it sometime during the day or something…

Welll, I’m off to make breakfast. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Ahh, blogging. I can’t believe that people care about reading such random stuff…

Speaking of random:
I was just telling Joe last night how pleased I am with the current batch of kids on our ChristianPunks message boards ) We go through some phases where it seems like there’s just a bunch of assholes on there, and its so nice that I enjoy reading most of the posts right now. I had kind of stuck my head in the ground for a while, between the move, Juli’s birth, and the general drama that had been going on, so its nice to enjoy posting there again. It really sucks when you’re paying for a site that you don’t even want to use P

What else….
I think I found the marathon that I want to run. Its the ADT Marathon here in Colorado Springs ( http://www.adtmarathon.com/ ) . I ran a couple of miles last night and nearly killed myself. I really need to adjust to these hills and the lack of oxygen. Its definitely a different type of “runners high” when you’re buzzing from not getting any air. I’d really love to finish a marathon, so hopefully this will be a good way to meet that goal! If anyone reads this who is thinking of running the same marathon, let me know! Luckily all of the training programs just call for you to be able to run 3 miles to start, and I can do that!

Anyways, I think I’m going to go watch some tv or something. GCM is down, so I don’t get to read all of the drama and such that’s going on over there. It makes my day much less interesting, haha. Maybe this will give everyone time to cool off. It’d suck if the angry people just picked up where they left off…

Life is going pretty well around here, except I’ve been sick for the last 2 weeks, grrrr. I’ve felt like puking several times, but I don’t want to injure my nose ring, so I’m holding it all in. Lovely, huh?

The weather around here has been fantastic lately! We went to the park yesterday, and it was perfect. Its supposed to be in the 60s next week too. Its great )

Well, I’m off to do some laundry and pick up the house. Its another day in the life of Amanda )
